Dr. Gary M. Halberstadt, D.O., F.A.A.P.
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Gary has been an Indianapolis resident since 1982. Undergraduate studies were at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. He completed his doctorate from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1981. Dr. Halberstadt’s postgrad studies include residency at Riley Hospital for Children and board certification through the American Board of Pediatrics.
He currently resides in Broad Ripple with his wife Sara, a pediatric RN. Their children Cameron, Max, and Elizabeth are all grown and pursuing their careers. Dr. Gary’s favorite activities include reading, cooking, cycling, and walking his dog Indy.
Heather Slater
Heather grew up in Indiana and attended North Central High School. She got her med.tech. degree at Clark college. She has been Dr. Halberstadt’s nurse and office manager extraordinaire for over 20 years. Heather’s cheery and caring attitude puts the children at ease even when they are not feeling well or are scheduled for immunizations. Heather and her husband, Bob, live in Noblesville, near their two children and grandchildren who she loves spending time with.
Jan Taylor Spence
Jan has been with Dr. Halberstadt for over seven years. She performs behind-the-scene general office duties and is the liason for C.H.I.R.P. She has also worked with children by being active in Boy Scouting for over 21 years, and currently sits on the NE District Eagle Board of Review and is also a trained Scoutmaster. She has 3 grown sons and one granddaughter. Jan lives in the Broad Ripple vicinity.
